LAND ROVER CANADA 150 SOCIAL CONTENT
We used Land Rover’s off-road capability to wish Canada a happy 150th birthday and blow up Land Rover Canada’s Instagram account.
CHALLENGE
Our challenge was to mark the 150th anniversary of Canadian independence from us pesky Brits
using Land Rover’s understated British wit. The catch? A tight budget and a equally tight time frame.
SOLUTION
We celebrated Canada 150 in a way befitting Land Rover—a tongue-in-cheek video
that employed subtle British humor and a picturesque off-road setting.
VIDEO
Instead of simply posting a still image and a pithy headline, we created a cryptic video that showed a Land Rover Discovery
effortlessly winding its way up to the top of a scenic overlook. With its witty content, it stood out in people’s feeds and quickly
drew people’s attention. And, yes, it should have been a :15, but what's that saying about the client always being right?
RESULTS
By using British humor to mark a truly momentous occasion,
we turned up the dial on Land Rover Canada’s social presence.
